What is the TQPF?
A Reimbursement fund for queer Tulsans who are printing zines, posters, shirts, newsletters, or any physical material of any kind. Just send us your design for approval (details below), and we’ll reimburse you up to $50 of the costs you might face!
“But what if I don’t have the money in the first place?” Don’t worry! If that’s the case, we’ll send the expected costs to you up to $50. We’ll need to confirm some stuff first though.
The total amount we can set aside for the fund is $1000, but we’d love to get more from donations and fundraising so that it can continue to help people long after the initial funds run out. If you want to donate, please visit our “Donations” page! You can donate anonymously or by name if you so choose.
We’re contractually obligated to inform you that the initial $1000 for this fund was part of a Thrive Grant awarded to us by OVAC and The Andy Warhol Foundation. They have not verified these statements. At no point in this project will we send your designs to anyone who is not Chris or Myself. If the organizations make it clear to us that we must send them anything other than receipts at the end of the grant period, then we will remove all grant funding from the project, and start from the ground up with donations. Your privacy is essential to us, and we will never give your confidential information away.
To Qualify You Must:
Reside in Tulsa County
Be 2SLGBTQIA+
Provide the design for approval (details below)
Provide copies of all receipts from the transaction in an email
Political Parties or Political Endorsements will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis
NOT espouse discriminative practices towards any other marginalized group
To Get Funds:

2. Please make “TQPF” the subject line, or we might miss your message
3. Tell us about your project in the body, and be sure to attach your design as well. If you can’t afford to make the initial purchase, just let us know and we’ll figure something out.
4. PLEASE wait to make the transaction we will be reimbursing until we approve the design
5. We’ll email you once we’ve looked it over to get your payment info (cashapp/venmo/paypal) and make sure we know how much to send (remember, it’s up to $50)
Why are we verifying your design?
We’re not looking at quality, it’s not a contest at all. The only things that will disqualify your design are:
- if it is only for personal use
- if it is racist, sexist, classist, xenophobic, or bigoted in some kind of way
- if it is obviously a scam
- if you have made it with AI OR Stolen work from someone else
Other than that, it’s all fair game. Please Note: Astrophoria/Astraphoria WILL NOT BE LIABLE for whatever you choose to do with the materials you print.
What if I’m broke?
We’ve both been broke, jobless, and houseless before. It sucks to be kept out of opportunities just because you don’t have any money. The way we see it: the more diversity the better!
- send us an email clarifying that you can’t afford to be reimbursed. Include your design, and expected costs of printing (as long as they’re below $50)
- we’ll look everything over, and if nothing seems sketchy, then we’ll be happy to send you the funds!
- We just need to have the receipts at the end so that we can keep them on file
- If need be we can also help facilitate the transaction, by calling printing places and delivering materials to you. Please not that this is ONLY for people who could not otherwise get access to printed materials.
